Regina invited me to this conference. Fully paid for cos she had a friend from that church - Tabernacle of Christ. The original tickets were priced at $50. Thank God for this divine opening :D Haha.
The speaker at this conference is Dr. Jonathan David.
Man I tell you when I first saw him with his Indian skin, bald head and longer-than-average-beard, I couldn't resist but judge the book by its cover.
But, I tell you, when the cover opened, all your judging will go back to your book. Haha! LOLS!
Passionate, experienced, learned, UBER-inspirational, animated, hilarious yet candid and real.
The truth of his messages slaps you and the jokes that punctuate his messages massages you. Doctrinally deep yet simple to grasp.
In just his 1hour++ sermon, I wrote down more than 5 pages of notes. Here's some of the crystallised nuggets of truth:
"God kicked the devil down not to have a vacation here on Earth; but to punish him. How does God punish Him? By raising up men and women to establish God's kingdom rule on Earth! So don't pay for the devil's vacation!"
"The main reason why we are refilled (in church) is so that we can complete our assignment; like fighter jets. We don't get refilled solely because we're badly beaten up by the enemy; we're refilled to complete OUR ASSIGNMENT - drop a few bombs in the enemy's base!"
"The church is a military base not a hospital! We don't come church just to get treated! We come to get trained for warfare!"
"The church has become so natural like another form of entertainment, another country club!"
"God is releasing an economy from His storehouse that cannot be robbed and destroyed by moths and rust!"
"Are we just a company of people gathered in a building with a cross on top of it?"
These are just some of the provocative yet true words spoken from God through Dr Jonathan David.
His main points - Revival starts when the church recognises its purpose here on Earth.
1) The church should be connected to heaven
2) The church should stop the gates of hell
3) The church should advance God's kingdom
His words are echoed by many other revivalist and prayer warriors. Dutch Sheets (international prayer warrior and author) is also saying the same thing about how the church has lost its cutting edge compared to the Early Church established by the apostles.
How sad that this truth is only heard but not practiced by churches worldwide. Like the song by Jeremy Camp "Speaking Louder than Before" says "We are the hope that's been forgotten"
Satan has indeed disabled the church of Christ - His delegated authority used to legislate His Kingdom rule.
But that's about to change. There is hope and we are tapping on the economy that will never liquidate.
"All authority in heaven and on Earth has been given to me...and surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:18,20
