SCS Graduation Parade 2010

This is the day I've been dreaming of since the day we witnessed the previous graduation parade rehearsal...FYI, my coy line, C coy is right next to the parade square.

Finally we all get to don the 3 chevrons. But donning this 3 chevrons means alot more sai kang, COS, CDS duties and responsibilities. But it also means more pay :D Haha.

Anyway, 27th May was one eventful Thursday :D 3 hours before the parade, our OC, PC and PWOs fell us in......for our POSTING ORDER!!!!!!

We all sat there nervously as our OC gave his speech. After that we split up into our individual platoons and then our PC gave his speech -_-" Next was our PWO who thankfully didn't give any speech...he simply read out the fates of each of us in a slow, heavy tone....starting with those going to units...

All the golden and silver bayonet holders got posted to units! However, one of the exceptions was one of my good friends HAN HUI!! HAHAHA! That ultimate slacker got posted to 4 SIR!! HAHA! But the apprehension was still thick in the air as our PWO read out the rest of our names and posting...the names he didn't read out will go to BMT!!!! :D

One by one, the few lucky / unlucky names were called...and finally he stopped and said "the rest of you are all going back to BMT" You should've hear me scream that "Hallelujah" man. It's the loudest I've screamed...HAHAHA! 80% of my platoon went to BMT!! Hahaha!

If I'd been posted to unit, I tell you, I wouldn't have the mood to participate in the parade already man. Haha.

Next up is the parade! I shall let the pictures relate the story :D

CBRD Specialist Weisheng & ME! :D

Infantry specialists Xue Ming, Me, Han Hui & Meng Kha :D

Xue Ming & ME! :D

Take 2 :D

Xue Ming, Myself & Weisheng :D

All those were before the parade...and this is the parade part...and it wasn't just us graduating specs that were in the parade, my MUM was part of the parade too!! Check it out...

HAHA! Who says only those in green can be in the parade square? HAHA!

Daddy putting on my rank :D

Mummy putting on my rank :D

After the parade, we all headed to the Leader's Square for a late night sumptuous supper :D

Silver Bayonet holder Fan Sheng & myself :D

Me & Brendan :D

Silver bayonet holders Bobby, Fan Sheng & rusty bayonet holder...me :( HAHA!

CBRD Engineers Weisheng & Sebastian, my BSLC buddy who is a silver bayonet holder :D

Sniper Specialist Jorge, GOLDEN bayonet artillery specialist Paul Zeng, Silver bayonet infantry specialist Fan Sheng & Infantry Specialist Jonavan :D

Daddy & me...I'm holding my rusty bayonet...HAHA!

Mummy and me...If you still think it's a bayonet, then lemme tell u, it's my 3/4 eaten chocolate Wall's ice cream..haha :D

Mummy & Me with Sergeant Rocky :D

Finally man, after all the weekends they've eaten, all the shit we've been through and all the sweat we've perspired, we finally get to don the rank of a 3rd Sergeant.

It's not a big rank. But it is one of the most important ranks in a war. Without us, the officers' plan will be rendered useless with no one to execute them. Without us, the men will be chiong-suaing aimlessly and get killed. Without us, the officers and corporals will have to tank the Guard Commander, DOS, COS & CDS duties!! HAHAHAHA!

That's how important we are in the SAF. That's how indispensible we are in this bloody system. That's how valued I am, 3sgt Jonavan Lee Zisheng :D

As much as I try to make my appointment sound good, I'm still gonna Suffer In Silence Plus Extra Confinement...after all, that's essentially what we are called to do and where we've graduated from...SISPEC!! HAHA!

With Pride I Lead, Specialists! :D

Sunday 23 May 2010

BSLC outing

We were supposed to have a BSLC (Basic Section Leader Course) section 3 get together. Initially, at least 7 of us were steady...in the end, only 3 of us - Glenn, Jian Xiong & myself appeared. -_-" Haha.

Jorge was also there, he was Glenn & my BMT mate. So we had a cool chat & dinner at Soup Spoon at Orchard Ion and we then headed to Bugis for a game of LAN :D We played L4D2 and BATTLEFIELD 2!! :D I miss that game soooo much...when I played it yesterday, I just feel like playing it everyday again! HAHA!

We were battlefield crazy last time I tell you...Me, Marc, Jon Wee, Daryl, Matthew, etc...almost every free weekend or weekday we would chiong Paradiz Centre and Battlefield our day away...haha. Those were the pre-NSF days man...Haha! :D

So yup, we took a nice photo with their new Iphones... :D Haha.

From left: Artillery Specialist Jiang Xiong, Air Defence Specialist Glenn Yong, Sniper Specialist Jorge Seow and Infantry Specialist Jonavan Lee :D

Can't wait for my rank to sit at my tummy level man. HAHA! That's when my tummy will grow too...cos after training phase, we will train others. And this will result in a drop in physical fitness. haha.

AND, I will receive my posting this week!!!!!!!! Please join the I-will-get-posted-to-BMT fast with me and as we fast and pray I believe I will get into BMT! :D HAHAHA! Yeash, do pray that I'll get into BMT...because it's SUPER NEAR MY HOUSE!!

BMT FTW!!

Combined Arms Term

After all the hard training, we're now all gathered back at what they call our "spiritual home"...SWI (Specialist and Warrant Officer Institute) or SCS (Specialist Cadet School) in Pasir Laba camp.

We're just having lectures, talks and discussions day after day in air-conditioned lecture rooms. We share what we have learnt and done in the different units or TIs (training institutes) and a 2nd warrant officer will facilitate.

The main thing that I really enjoy about this period is...our lunch and dinner durations are like 3 hours? Whoo hoo! So off we all go to the cookhouse and eat our indented meals before heading down to the specialist mess called Rocky Hill Mess in PLC. There we mainly spam our pool games and just chat with all our friends there.

After all, once we pass out as 3rd sergeants, they be deducting S$3 off from our monthly pay as mess fees... -_-"

And this week the Chief of Army, Brigadier General Chan Chun Sing came down to talk to us. We all expected a 2 hour insomnia-curing session. But what resulted was a 2 hour 30 minute engaging session with him.

I'd like to call him the "army preacher". I love his candour, down-to-earth, animated and illustrative style of talking. He also uses different languages and dialects to bring the message across which results in massive guffaws amongst the audience. Every question he answers will be filled with funny illustrations and he will really talk TO YOU. And he doesn't speak off point but he returns to his main point where he throws the question back to us...Are we willing to fight for our country?

I especially like some of his quotes like...
"We don't train you to die for your country; we train you to allow others to die for theirs"
"You musn't only marry the woman you love, you must love the woman you marry."

I'm really impressed and inspired after that dialogue session with him and I must say this is one of the best commanders talk so far. All our other commander talks by our COs and all, all fail to inspire me. Don't worry, no amount of inspirational talks will ever, ever, make me sign on. Unless God reveals Himself and tells me "SIGN ON", I will never ever budge. Haha!

Yup, this coming week is all the marching drills to prepare us for our Graduation Parade... -_-"

Home Sweet Home :D

Finally, after all the chiong sua-ing and all, we're finally going home!! :D

Some pics we snapped in Thailand airport :D

Charlie Platoon 1, Section 4 ftw! :D

Informal take :D With the 3 musketeers showing their numbers :D

Can you see the difference in airport design and cleanliness standards? :D Haha.

The 3 musketeers! :D Back in Singapore! :D

If you're wondering why we're called the 3 musketeers, here's the story...

In Sai Yok Camp, we (Me, Leslie & Han Hui) were having lunch in the canteen. And it was time to fall back into company line. So off we marched. We were supposed to march right to the front of our coy line and "berhenti" there...but there is a shortcut back to our company line which you can take w/o marching :D

We took that shortcut and were caught by our sergeant major -.-" He then labelled us the three musketeers and that stuck with us till now...Haha!

R & R!!

One of my greatest regrets was not bringing my own camera. A camwhore like me can't live with so little memories of that place...Haha. Within my clique we all thought that we would bring a camera...as a result, no one brought -_-" Haha! We thus had to borrow our section mates' camera...Haha.

Anyway, the first day, first destination of our R & R was the Hellfire Pass.

Han Hui, Me, Meng Kha, Ridhwan, Leslie & Faduhli @ the entrance of the Hellfire Pass :D

This 415km long stretch of railway cum trench was built in World War II within a year! The technology then was really sucky, but yet the Japanese could do it so quickly. You know why? Because they pushed the POWs so hard until at least 100,000 of them died.

After hearing all these stories, I feel lesser resentment toward how hard SAF has trained us...It is to prevent this type of heinous war crime from happening in times of conflict and war.

Our next stop was the Death Railway...the whole 415km stretch consists of these 2 war memorial sites.

Me & Meng Kha @ the Death Railway

This was the end of Day I R&R. At all these places were quite a lot of shops. Like pasar malam in Singapore. That's when we bought stuff and walked around the war memorial sites.

Day II R & R.

Our first stop was the Floating Market :D Leslie & I shopped a lot there. There's a lot of cute & cool souvenirs there. And there's a lot of FOOD there! We were busy snacking and shopping at the same time.

Their satay was awesome I tell you. 50cents and your get 15 sticks of satay. It comes with a styrofoam box of peanut satay sauce and cucumbers and onions :D Shiok man! haha. We also tried their coconut goreng pisang, spicy pork salad, a special peanut ice-cream, etc...

They even had boats selling mee-pok man! We were so tempted to eat...but due to the lack of time, we didn't. The next time I go there, I'm definitely eating their boat-cooked mee-pok :D Haha.

Next we stopped by a Cobra Farm where we had lunch. :D

Me, Xue Ming, Han Hui, Meng Kha & Leslie :D

The cobra show there was fantastic. They released snakes and played around with it before catching it and putting it back in the bag....One of the performers caught a snake with his mouth, with his two hands already holding 2 other snakes!

Breathtaking! We also got to touch the snakes. They're rubbery and bony. Haha.

At their souvenir shop is where I bought my favourite and most expensive souvenir - a snake-skin belt!!

I asked the salesgirl "How much?"
She replied "800 baht :D" with a big, fat smile.
I was like "WHOA! Peng! Peng!!" with a big, fat frown. Haha! Peng means expensive in Thai btw...haha. So off we went bargaining. She refused to budge..haha.

Finally, Han Hui also decided to buy one too. So we asked for 2 belts for 750baht each. She still refused to give the discount. That's when the store owner stepped in and said "OK, 750baht :D"

I was like "Yay!" although it wasn't much of a discount, I really liked it. Haha. So I told the boss out loud "Your salesgirl not happy ar?" The boss then laughed out loud "HAHAHA, I happy can already!" HAHA! LOLS! Here's a picture of my S$33 belt :D

My S$33 belt! :D Cool eh? :D Haha.

After the cobra show we went to their "shopping centre". And after that proceeded to the airport.

The shopping centre is like the "Giant" shopping centre here in Singapore...The malaysia outlet "Giant" shopping centre you know? Selling groceries and more down-to-earth-stuffs...

All in all, our R & R wasn't that fantastic because we took like a 3 hour bus ride to get to a location only to have 1-1.5hours of free & easy time there before setting off for the next destination.

The good thing is, they indented buses for us and the buses were really comfortable and they screened pretty up to date movies like Avatar, Gamer, Vampire's Assistant, Percy Jackson the Lightning Thief etc...So from one destination to another means we will catch one movie...or sleep. Haha!

Yup, that was our R & R. No staying in hotels like in Taiwan... :( Haha. Ok...Stop complaining Jonavan...ahaha

End of Frame Dinner!

After all the hard training, it's our time to enjoy. We had a end of frame dinner held at a Multi-Purpose Hall within the camp premises.

Basically, it was a 8 course dinner. The food was average. Coupled with the performances, below average...HAHA! I shall let the pictures tell the story...

All ready to march off in our platoon T-shirts! :D

I'm a specialist! :)

One whole group of us marching in the same tight-fitting T-shirt looks really threatening. Machiam like we gonna go gang fight...HAHAHA!

Upon reaching the multi-purpose hall we started taking photos...

Meng Kha, Xue Ming & Myself :D

Us again...taken w/o flash :D

The dance performances

After taking a few photos with Xue Ming & Meng Kha, the performance started. Their dance performance was ok. I could see that the back-up stage dancers were just trying to keep in step with the lead dancer. There was like a 1 second delay in motion after the lead dancer made her move. Haha!

And this lady singer went flat while hitting probably one of the highest notes in her career? Haha! Ok, I shan't be that bad...It wasn't too bad a performance la.

Amateur malay suria performance

This is the part I can't stand. Here comes this guy in sunglasses who thinks he can sing...he takes the mike brimming with confidence and when the first note comes out, you know he isn't paid well. HAHA!

The later part he donned a jacket and just kept acting cool on stage. I felt like going up and punching him. He is like some malay wannabe on Suria's singing contest man...HAHA!

After snapping a few shots of the performances, we were back snapping a few shots of ourselves :D
Our table :D From left Kenneth, Leslie, Scott, Han Hui, Meng Kha, Me & Xue Ming :)
Platoon ONE! :D Our PC is the one with the thick mustacho :D HAHAHA!

After end of frame dinner everyone rushed off to the LAN shop in the canteen!! HAHA! Standard ah...

Exercise Centurion

The worst-feared exercise awaited all of us...Exercise Centurion!! (Pronounced sen-choo-rea-urn. Alot of ppl were pronouncing it as Centaurian e.g. Scott. HAHAHA!!)

Me, Han Hui & Scott :D
Ok, putting the linguistic issues aside, it was a 8 day, 7 night field camp!! -.-" I just recovered from my heat cramp and here comes the most xiong exercise -_-" Check out my yellow band on my left hand...haha! Doesn't excuse me from anything sadly...haha...It just tells the commanders that I'm weaker than the rest, so watch out for me! Haha :D

That's our bunk by the way, our beds were merely sponges (the yellow thing behind me) with a plastic covering. On top of that they gave us bedsheets to cover the sponges...Haha. I tell you, the bunk is so hot that just being inside will make you perspire. At night, only around 1130pm++ then the bunk temperature starts to be more cool

I remember the 1st or 2nd day when we all took an afternoon nap. When we woke up, the bedsheet was all wet! Not with our wet dreams but with our PERSPIRATION!! HAHA! That's why we never wear shirts in bunk.

Ok, back to exercise centurion...haha...I was the section commander on the first two day of the exercise. Holding that appointment made me unable to powder bath nor change for 2 whole days of the exercise. Because the platoon sergeant might pass down an instruction to us for us to do anytime...
On the second day of the field camp in the afternoon there was a lizard measuring the length of my 2 hands put together loitering around my shellscrape. Tired of being spied by it, I took a stick and went to kill it. After killing it, I saw something scrambling toward me in the leaf litter. I kicked open the leaves and to my horror it was a SCORPION!! A pretty small one though.

So I shouted "Scorpion!!" and went stamping all over it. Haha. A few of my section mates came over and heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing the smashed up body of the baby scorpion. Haha. Thank God!

Anyway, this exercise had a lot of casualties. At least 12 people were injured, sick or bitten in my platoon. Not listed in order of occurrence...

Firdaus was stung by a scorpion. It landed on his helmet and when he took his helmet off to see what was on his helmet, the scorpion stung his hand.

My good friend, Mr. Kang Xue Ming was stung by a scorpion twice. The first time he was stung on the left or right index finger, he was admitted to the sick bay. Upon returning to his shellscrape area, his other index finger was stung -_-" Haha! Talk about spiderman, he'd have become Scorpionman...HAHA!

Two of my section mates Naufal & Han Hui were down with diahorrea.

Another two of my section mates Irwan & Kenneth were down with fever.

My platoon mate Jun Rong was also down with fever.

In the middle of the night, my section mate Hafiz felt a relatively big insect crawling on his head. Upon swiping it off, it left two scars on his head.

My platoon mate, Jian Jie cui-ed his knee when he high kneel on a rock. This teared or weakened his ligament or tendon which made him hospitalised for 2 days+

THREE of my section mates, Irwan, Iswardi & Kenneth were down with heat injuries.

All these occured before our 5km road march back to camp. The worst thing that happened to me while harbouring is...one morning when I woke up. My IBA had a uber big spider web weaved across it...A spider had made my vest its home!! So I swept away all the web and out came the spider, slightly smaller than the size of my palm...It ran away. Haha.

The thing about the Thailand forest is, the knolls are not that steep. But the vegetation there is heinously thorny. The thorns there can entangle you and totally stop you in your tracks. And it rained twice while we were harbouring. So we had to hastily put up our basha shelter.

Here comes the highlight of Exercise Centurion. The 5km+ road march back with casualty evacuation.

It was noon. We were marching back in the hottest time of the day. It was around 42-44 degree celsius. We were all marching back to camp!! Our PC kept pushing us and didn't give us much rest time because the lesser we rest, the faster we'll reach back camp!

This ended up with at least 4-5 heat cramp cases. And once again, I was part of the statistic. HAHA! Leading the heat cramp contingent was once again SCT Jonavan Lee! -.-" HAHA! I was first to be down...followed by Dun Fu, Halifi and a few others whom I couldn't identify. Haha. We had only about 3km more to go by the way...Haha.

This left me with another MC...this time, my MC wasn't coveted because it was already the end of all our exercises...HAHA!

MC!! :D
So yup, what a nice ending to Exercise Centurion. Haha.

1x Heat Cramp!!

After exercise Cobra we had a break. The next exercise was a short section battle course, a 2 day 1 night exercise.

My appointment? 1st Matador! Haha. So off we went for our battle course. Everything was fine until after we finished our 1st contact point. This was how it went...

1) We were all resting under the shade.
2) I felt giddy so I stood up and shook my head a bit. I thought I was fine.
3) Next thing I was too giddy to sit or stand so I was lying down.
4) My hands started to go numb.
5) My legs too.
6) I couldn't feel my hands.
7) I couldn't feel my legs.
8) I was in a dazed frenzy.
9) My section mates carried me onto the stretcher.
10) I was on the rover to a makeshift medical tentage.

Stages 1-8 happened really quickly. I was semi-conscious by then. So I was blabbering a lot of bullshit...HAHA! All this blabbering of bullshit made me the most famous heat cramp case in my company and probably the whole of ASLC. Haha!

Some of my most famous statements which are widespreadly used by my platoon mates are:
1) "I don't wanna be a corporal!! I've come this far!!"

2) When asked to shut up I uttered an explanation...
"I can't! Once I never talk means I K.O. already!!"

3) When I was given the IV drip...
"Ouch!! Don't poke me!! Stop poking me!!"

Guess what? My CO, Major Chua was there hearing all my bullshit!! HAHA! So was one of my platoon commanders - 2 WO Ronnie. A lot of staff sergeants and faculty team 3rd sergeants were also there...HAHA! Imagine all the commanders hearing you blabbering rubbish. HAHA!

My friends told me that my CO rebutted my 1st famous statement "You better shut up or I'll make you a one month corporal!" HAHA! And thanks to my encik, he spread this story far and wide and suan-ed me whenever he sees me...HAHAHA!

Anyway, this was one interesting experience. Back at the MO, I received the coveted MC...HAHAHA! :D

MC! 1 day atten C, 1 day light duty :D

My pack of 12x ORS...haha!
Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS)

The verdict? CPT (Dr.) Chiam told me that drinking lots of water is not enough, we need to take the ORS. The weather there was almighty hot and thus we were losing more than water, our salts were also used up.

Just when I thought I was really strong...carrying the signal set 70% of the way in Ex Cobra and all...I kena 1x heat cramp -_-" Haha.

Yup, that was one experience that I'll never forget...It's also an experience everyone else will, unfortunately, never forget...HAHA!

Signal Warrior!

The first exercise was a 4 day 3 night Own Time Own Target (OTOT) navigation exercise. This would be the most fun exercise in the whole Exercise Crescendo. :D

Before setting out for this exercise, I was pretty scared because I heard from my previous sergeants stories of how they ran out of water before reaching any checkpoint and the gruelling distances of more than 50km they have to cover in FBO etc...

But off we went anyway. The xiong thing about this exercise is the FBO part. We have to navigate in FBO!!
FBO = 20kg field pack + 10kg IBA (Integrated Body Armour) + 4kg SAR 21 = ~34kg

However, in order to keep in contact with the HQ, there is something called signal set...And that 10kg SUPER OLD SCHOOL 840 signal manpack will have to be carried by the signaller on top of his FBO!!

That garang signaller was me...I volunteered. HAHAHA! Why? Because I wana carry it in the start of the exercise, where we're all still full of strength and energy...so I wana carry the signal set in my prime physical condition...lest I carry it in the latter part of the exercise where we're all shagged out already. Haha. Basically, my FBO weighed at least 45kg... -_-"

We were tonner-ed to our start point which was around 40km away...it took a 30min 5-tonner ride to SP4! Haha. Upon reaching our start point at around 6pm, we took a PHOTO!! Haha! Which is stuck in Rudy's camera...he's not from our platoon...

After all the picture taking, it was time for the 13 of us in a section to get to work. The good thing is, the weather is TOTALLY AWESOME!! It was about to rain so it was super windy and the grey clouds covered the sky. So off we went to find our first checkpoint which was at least 8km away -.-"

By nightfall, we were only like 70% there? Haha. So we decided to harbour. We found a superb harbouring spot - an unused part of a farmer's plantation, an empty sandy patch which was super windy! Ohhhh, we laid our groundsheets, powder bathed and fell asleep readily...without having to sleep in sweaty, humid conditions.

On the 2nd day, I also continued to take the legendary FBO + signal set...haha. By the 2nd checkpoint, we covered at least 16km already. That's when I handed the signal set over to my section mates. After covering about 5km+ my section mate couldn't take the signal set weight already...so he passed it to the next "privileged" signaller.

By the 3rd checkpoint which was another 6km++ he also couldn't take it...so it came back to...ME -_-" Haha. One of my section mates Jumadi checked to see if I was ok. He looked at me and I gave him an act cute smile....HAHA!! He then told me "I really respect you man. The fact that you can still smile and all while carrying the signal set is something..." I guess so too :D HAHAHA! BHB again...LOLS :D

Anyway, our next 2 checkpoints was the same as another section's...so we decided to go with them. That's when a little trouble begins...The other detail had an Indian regular guardsman Kumar who doesn't really know how to navigate. He only knows how to bash. So he led us with his navigators bashing through weird grounds and all...when there were TRACKS AROUND!!

So, Han Hui, my section's best navigator suggested to Kumar taking the track. But he simply ignored him, thinking his Indian-ic ways were superior. So we followed them and ended up hor-landing and thus having to harbour at a really lousy harbouring area - without wind...We were really pissed off.

The next day when we set off, after covering like 1km, we saw the track that my friend suggested the day before...it led to the same place...The other team's strategy was simply...BASH... -_-" The bunch of huan nas and ah nehs really are stupid. Some of the brainless race in my section also chose to go bashing and ended up getting lost with them. -.-" If I go to war with them, I think I'll just break section and go with the people that think and not the people that are fit but without brains...Haha.

Anyway, I must say, Thailand COKE never tasted so good...until you're outfield...HAHAHAHA!! The ice-cold taste of cola rivuleting onto our parched tongues was one rapturous moment in Excercise Crescendo that almost nothing could ever replace and one that I will never forget...HAHA! The price was uber cheap...15baht for a 595ml bottle of coke...Don't ask me why they package such weird amounts of liquid in a bottle...haha. 15baht is around 60 Singapore cents.

And the interesting thing about the 3rd shop we went to is, they trade coke for our SAF rations!! Those who have served NS before will know that the dry biscuits in the accessory pack is one of the most destestable snack around...But to the Thais, 2 packs of that destructive, mouth-drying biscuits can be exchanged for a coke bottle!! Man, I tell you, it was great doing business with them. HAHAHA!

Ok, back to our mission. To pass, we need to hit log-point 2 where we will do a navigation THEORY test. By the time you hit there, you'd have covered at least 40km...To go back to coy line early, you have to hit end point. By the time you reach there, you'd have covered at least 60km++.

The earliest team completed the navigation exercise in 2.75 days!! They finished it in less than 2 days 2 nights! That means they have 2 full days of free & easy in camp!! Which means they can go to the canteen and eat, shop & LAN!!! Omgosh...Their strategy? They covered the most distance at night when it is cool and breezy. By day, they also walked but rested at more regular intervals.

My team? We walked by day and slept by night...HAHAHA! During noon time, it was sooo hot that we rested under shade every 1km...imagine our move speed...Haha.

In the end, we ended our exercise at log-point 2...where we were tonner-ed back to camp...HAHA! We just passed the exercise. Haha. So that was exercise Cobra. I shan't elaborate on the blisters and abrasions sustained through this exercise....hahaha.

The Send-Off

23rd April 2010 wasn't all that an emotional day for me...but it was tensional with alot of apprehension and thoughts of the shit I'll be going through were flying all around in my unceasingly dynamic, always-thinking brain.

The scene at Changi Airport, Terminal 1, Row 4 was a mess - like a mass orgy...everyone was trying to get their flight tickets and all. Surprisingly, I got mine in like 30mins...haha...So off we went to have a last night snack and "last words" together...

Me, Daddy & Jeravan :D

I wasn't expecting anyone to come and send me off mainly because my flight is at 1am++. But I received a call from Eunice at 12am...She said she'll be bringing along a group level size of 2 men - an ORDed 3sgt Joel and an OCT Matthew. HAHA!

I was pretty surprised and touched. So thank you guys for caring enough to make the trip down to send me off :)

Jeravan, Matthew, Joel, Eunice, Myself & Mummy :D

Here's where the emotions and tears usually climax at...The Departure Gate. Haha! Don't worry, a 3 week break from me won't result in much tears :D Haha!

Joella, Eunice, Me & Matthew :D

Daddy, Me, Jeravan & Mummy :D
Off I went, on a Thai plane to a country which is in a state of emergency - Thailand.
