This is the day I've been dreaming of since the day we witnessed the previous graduation parade rehearsal...FYI, my coy line, C coy is right next to the parade square.
Finally we all get to don the 3 chevrons. But donning this 3 chevrons means alot more sai kang, COS, CDS duties and responsibilities. But it also means more pay :D Haha.
Anyway, 27th May was one eventful Thursday :D 3 hours before the parade, our OC, PC and PWOs fell us in......for our POSTING ORDER!!!!!!
We all sat there nervously as our OC gave his speech. After that we split up into our individual platoons and then our PC gave his speech -_-" Next was our PWO who thankfully didn't give any speech...he simply read out the fates of each of us in a slow, heavy tone....starting with those going to units...
All the golden and silver bayonet holders got posted to units! However, one of the exceptions was one of my good friends HAN HUI!! HAHAHA! That ultimate slacker got posted to 4 SIR!! HAHA! But the apprehension was still thick in the air as our PWO read out the rest of our names and posting...the names he didn't read out will go to BMT!!!! :D
One by one, the few lucky / unlucky names were called...and finally he stopped and said "the rest of you are all going back to BMT" You should've hear me scream that "Hallelujah" man. It's the loudest I've screamed...HAHAHA! 80% of my platoon went to BMT!! Hahaha!
If I'd been posted to unit, I tell you, I wouldn't have the mood to participate in the parade already man. Haha.
Next up is the parade! I shall let the pictures relate the story :D

Mummy & Me with Sergeant Rocky :D
Finally man, after all the weekends they've eaten, all the shit we've been through and all the sweat we've perspired, we finally get to don the rank of a 3rd Sergeant.
It's not a big rank. But it is one of the most important ranks in a war. Without us, the officers' plan will be rendered useless with no one to execute them. Without us, the men will be chiong-suaing aimlessly and get killed. Without us, the officers and corporals will have to tank the Guard Commander, DOS, COS & CDS duties!! HAHAHAHA!
That's how important we are in the SAF. That's how indispensible we are in this bloody system. That's how valued I am, 3sgt Jonavan Lee Zisheng :D
As much as I try to make my appointment sound good, I'm still gonna Suffer In Silence Plus Extra Confinement...after all, that's essentially what we are called to do and where we've graduated from...SISPEC!! HAHA!
With Pride I Lead, Specialists! :D
