2 badminton outings with CG! :)

Yes we're badminton lovers!! :D Ok, Chor Seng and Kai Sen don't really love it that much...haha. But at least Wei Hong, Shiya, Desmond, Sabrina, Christina and Jan love it! Haha!

The first one (29/12/2011) was instigated by me, seconded by Jan and organized by Shiya. Haha! LOLS! We played at Bedok CC. It was really cheap...$3/hour only! Peak hour rate, after 6pm costs only $5/hour! Haha. Cheaper and better than playing pool man! Haha.

Anyway, Kai Sen & I were the first to reach...as usual...HAHAHA! Ok, for me, it wasn't that usual...but anyway...we didn't know that Bedok CC isn't = to the Bedok Swimming Complex / sports centre area... -_-"

So after much walking in the rain, we realised we were another 15minutes walk (in the rain) from our destination -___-"

Ok, walk there, no problem. We reached there. BO LANG. Booking starts at 3.30pm...They came at 4pm onwards -.-" To think they all been through Basic Ministry Training (BMT) in HoGC...All 30mins late -.-" Some more public transport wasn't the mode of transport for a few of 'em....HAHAHA!

Ok, anyway, the best part is...Shiya's the main person with 3 rackets and she...took the wrong bus and was an hour late. HAHA! So with everyone's agreement, I went to extend the court booking time by another hour :) Anyway, we had lotsa fun...and we played like more than 30mins beyond the extended booking time...HAHA!

Anyway, the main highlight wasn't really the badminton...It was the DINNER at Bedok 85, Fengshan! :D Had a sumptuous dinner! We effectively re-stocked the fat we burnt...HAHAHA!

Yup, a few dinner pictures :D

Chi Wen, Jan, Chor Seng & myself :D

Jan, Chor Seng & Me :)

Take 2 :D

Our 2 awesome leaders! :)

Kai Sen & Hong Hwee :D

Yup, had a great, sinful dinner after a really good, healthy workout at the badminton court...I don't think we will ever get fit if we go on like this...HAHAHA!

The second badminton outing was organized by ME! :D HAHA! This time it wasn't just with our CG mates, I also called our NTU mates along :)

Kian Seng, Tian Rui and Sam came :) From HoGC, Wei Hong, Lay Ming, Sabrina, Shiya, Christina and Chi Wen came :) And guess what? Once again, Kai Sen & myself were the earliest -__-" After us was Kian Seng followed by Sam :) They were only like 10mins late so we started shuttling the shuttlecock :) Haha.

From these 2 badminton outings, I must say Chi Wen's badminton is above average for a girl. Haha. She's a badminton player la...haha.

For the guys, Wei Hong is one awesome badminton player. I lost to him every round I played with him. Haha! Skill wise, we're both really good at our drop shots, cross smashes and playing the court. Where Wei Hong trumps me is his stamina and footwork. He is like some Energizer bunny man...play and play and play and not tired!!! HAHAHA!

After playing for 6 rounds, I was really tired, shagged out and battery low already...but Mr Wei Hong is still on and bouncing around the court. HAHA!

Anyway, once again, the highlight of the whole badminton game was once again the...you guessed it right...DINNER! Singaporeans are really gourmets. Haha. We headed to Tampines IKEA for a wholehearted dinner. Haha.

From left: Tian Rui, Wei Hong, Sabrina, Christina, Chi Wen, Kai Sen & myself :) And Chor Seng is the cameraman :D haha.

After dinner, we still walked around and shopped around IKEA...enjoying their awesome home-like ambience. And OH, we found something really cool...

Me & our NTU Basic Engineering Maths lecturer, A/P Suganthan Ponnuthurai!! HAHAHAHA! :P He's so famous that IKEA made an action figure of him!! HAHAHA!

Here you have Kai Sen and his murderous intentions...HAHA!

Yup, had a great time keeping fit, eating good food and fellowshipping :) But I really hope our relationships will go beyond that...that we will know each other on a deeper level...What drives us, what is our calling, what God is doing in our lives, what are our dreams, plans, etc...Haha. Very much the way I know my cell members and fellow church mates from Bethel last time :)

Yup, hope to have another such outing soon! :)
