The Chief of Defence Force (CDF) and a few other Generals were also there to escort him and bring hiim around. The week before the Qatari's prince people came down to inspect the ferry and buses. They xian Penguin's ferry to be under-standard.
Guess what? They hired their own luxury ferry from 1 degree 15 to bring him in!! The cost of renting that luxury ferry? $3k per hour!! They rented it around 6++ hours I think. Inclusive of the time taken for the yacht to sail from Harbour Front to Tekong and wait for him as he toured Tekong and back. That'd have cost him around $20k!!
Whoa! Just a one day visit and he could affort to pay around 18 Second Lieutenants (2LT) and 22 Third Sergeants (3SG) in Tekong their one month pay! HAHA!
Our dear CDF & his generals merely took the humble Harbour Launch...which is the assigned craft for VIPs. HAHA!
Inside Tekong, our own SAF personnel took normal OUVs, a military car, to tour Tekong.
Guess what our dear Royalty brought in to Tekong? He chartered a whole RPL (a ship that transports vehicles by sea) to bring in ONE MERCEDES!! That cost him S$2400!! He toured Tekong in a Mercedes!! Imagine that!
I also went up his luxury ferry while he toured Tekong! HAHA! But of course, with permission from my boss & with permission of the ferry's bosses. :D
An uncommon ferry docking @ TFT. Haha.
Some of the facilities on board the ship. I didn't see any Jacuzzi pool though...Haha. The craft has 3 floors...One of which was locked up...So probably in that locked up level is the jacuzzi pool or something. HAHA!
Computer & printer on board...haha
Open-air dining area
Air-conditioned dining & TV area. The "living room"
The life float...is that what you call it? LOLS.
The rest of the pictures are in facebook...Haha. Can go check it out. There's also a kitchen in there and a few pictures of the toilet...in my facebook. LOLS.
The owner of the company of the ship was on board! Haha. And I was there chatting with him. He's a really friendly guy...a retired Navy Major. Haha. Even after retiring, he never really left the sea...HAHA!
I also spoke with his "2IC" on board the ship. He's also a retired Navy Major. And he's even more talkative and friendly. Haha. They're all really nice people on board. He was telling me that his son will be enlisting next year April. Haha.
I told him "Oh is it? I'll be watching out for you then? Haha!"
He was like "Take care of my son hor..." Haha.
That was a once in a lifetime experience man. Haha. I'm really privileged to have gotten my post as the "Sea Ferry IC" haha. Without this important appointment, I would merely be tekaning recruits at company line. Haha!
But yeah, really cool. Here's a last picture of myself standing at the side of the ship :)
The side of the ship... :D Haha. That's me :) LOLS!
