It's a Friday. It's a HOLIDAY! :D I went out with Daryl to shop for Matthew's present before his celebration at his house.
We shopped for really long without finding any appropriate gift. We finally decided on a watch for him. I shan't say how much it costs here lest he reads this post and realises. HAHA! Citing the fact that he bought me a burberry wallet ALL BY HIMSELF for my 21st, I too forked out the most for his present. Haha.
It's a really cool looking, semi-rugged black Fossil watch. :D Daryl & I decided on it.
Anyway, after getting the present we headed down to his place :)
First game played there was some "guess phrase" game from a book. The book would use pictures to illustrate the phrase and you'd have to guess what the phrase is. For example...
Q: Close Close Comfort Comfort Comfort Comfort.
A: Too (2) close for (4) comfort
Kinda thing? Ok, the pictures weren't that dull and unexciting. We're all fighting to get the answer right. Seated at the table screaming answers were Myself, Marc, Renee, Xiao Hua, Daryl, Anne, Ps Aaron and Matthew. Eunice is the one flipping the pages of the book with all the questions. LOLS!
After all the competitive guessing, we headed for the buffet spread :) Haha. Food was really good. I love the Japanese Flour Fried Mushroom...Something like the tempura prawn...just that instead of prawn, it's mushrooms...coated with flour :D That rocked. Haha. Even the chicken wings and rendang can't match up to it. LOLS!
After eating comes the most memorable part of his birthday...An AWESOME game of CITADEL!! Haven't played it for ages man! So Matthew, Norman, Reuben, Dilys, Kendrick & myself sat down for about an hour pitting our brains against each other & laughing at each other's reactions to the decisions we make. Haha.
Thanks Eunice/Anne for bringing your Citadel set! :) Their generosity has resulted in the losing of a important game piece...the King totem...Haha. When you're the "king", you get a piece of yellow wood shaped like a crown to let everyone know you're the king in the game. Haha.
That went missing. Guess what was the replacement?
Matthew used his beret crest as a replacement. HAHA! LOLS! :D
Well, it worked :D Haha. And it's more cool than getting a piece of yellow wood to signify your "royalty". Haha!
