Drinkin' & Chillin' Session with NTU mates :D

The first drinkin' and chillin' session was an epic failed attempt...Zhi Hong (our dear organizer) disappeared and was uncontactable on the day of the event itself.

The meeting time was 2pm. When I reached at 2pm, I received an SMS telling everyone "The meeting timing is changed to 6pm"

I was really pissed. I travelled all the way to Orchard with my big bag of things all prepared to stay over at church for the overnight prayer meeting and they suddenly told me "change to 6pm".

WIN. Haha. We later found out that Zhi Hong was detained by the police for interrogation over some robbery at the shopping centre he was working at as a cashier. -_-"

Anyway, this session made up for it :) haha. We met at Zhi Hong's work place...some club at Odeon Towers called "Soul". He booked the VVIP room for all of us!

Inside the room, there was our very own personal pool table and karaoke! WOWS! It was awesome. Haha. He also ordered food and drinks for us...all at his expense! I was asking him how much the whole thing cost and wanted to pay him my fair share...because this whole thing sure cost a bomb.

Anyway, he chivalrously said "No la, it's ok...your party you also pay what" Haha.

Yup, shall let the pictures tell the rest of the story...

Karaoke! Me & Betsy..haha

The first thing I did upon arrival...was to grab a mike and sing...Haha! At first, not many ppl were singing...they were busy playing pool and all...only Betsy & I was singing...Haha.

Oh, and I must say...Yong Jian's singing is really good! HAHAHA! Never knew man. Haha. Of course, I also impressed them with my voice...AHEMS...BHB moment...HAHAHA! I think Betsy was the most impressed. She kept saying "Whoa, your singing very nice lei!" and kept asking me to sing her favourite songs and all..Haha!

One of our China friends, Jing Guo was also a really good singer man! Haha. Her powerful alto voice was really good. Haha...so was her use of head voice. Lols.

I was the Channel 5 singer over there...while the rest were singing all those Channel 8 chinese songs...haha! Anyway...on with the photos...haha

Me & Betsy :) With Nicholas smiling cheekily behind...LOLS!

Where's the cheeky smile now Nicholas? Haha!

Lydia, Myself & Joniece :D

Zheng Xin & myself :)

Joniece, Myself & Yong Jian :)

Me & Kian Seng :D

Me & Alex :)

Take 2 with Alex...haha

Oh, at this point I must inject: I won ALEX in pool!! HAHAHAHA! Lols! My taunts and teasing are probably a contributing factor to my victory...HAHA! LOLS!

All of us :) Clockwise from top left: Kian Seng, Alex, Zhi Hong, Zheng Xin, Yong Jian, ME, Betsy, Joniece and Lydia :)

Zhi Hong, our host :D & myself :)

Oh, Zhi Hong also brought us to the Thai Disco section of his club...It was really noisy. Haha. Live band playing and 4 sexy and scantily-clad Thai ladies were singing.

We could hardly hear each other despite shouting...haha..There Betsy whopped out her camera and took a self-shot with me & Zheng Xin...initially...before Kevin & Nicholas sneaked in...HAHA!

Kevin, Nicholas, Betsy, Me & Zheng Xin :)

Shot 2 in the Thai Disco section...

If you're wondering where's Kevin in all the other pictures...He left early...Haha...The pictures are not in chronological order...we visited the Thai Disco section first...Haha.

Yup, had a great time pooling, singing and drinking...Haha. I didn't drink much actually...All of 'em keep suaning me "Aiya, you didn't even drink" etc...Lols. I don't know how they get accustomed to such bitter-tasting drinks....Haha. That's the main deterrent for me.

Hopefully we'll have another one like this soon :)

Before Abigail & Anna leave for Prague...

Yes, once again, Abigail & Anna are leaving for Prague, Germany...It's another overseas choir trip for them...If I didn't remember wrongly, their previous choir trip was to Russia.

Yup, they'll be gone for a long time! So before we miss them too much, we decided to hang out...at PLAYNATION!! HAHA!

Playnation-ing wasn't our initial plan. After dinner at Canele we intended to L4D...HAHA! But, sadly, all the LAN shops were full :(

Anyway, playnation was just as fun! In fact, even more fun...just that, our wallets had a bigger hole. Haha.

Yup, we kinect-ed the whole time and had a great time dancing, eating and guitar hero-ing...haha.

Looking at Joel says it all...Haha!

Take 2 :D

Take 3 :)

If you're wondering what Abigail's doing...Nope, she's not saluting...Haha...She's trying to tell us how tall she is...Haha. She wore heels that day and beat all of us in terms of height...What a cheater. Haha!

Yup, had a great time catching up as I found out how well Anna was doing in uni and how Abigail was just a bit behind Anna....haha...And Joel told us his holiday stories in Japan and all...LOLS.

Anyway, this is the most interesting part of the whole outing...Joel's DANCE MOVES!! HAHAHA! :D Check 'em out below! :D

Yupyup, take care Abigail & Anna! :) Shall meet up again before our term starts...Haha.

GEMs conference with the TNGs and friends

If you're wondering what GEMs is, it's my mother's ministry: GEM - Graceful, Empowered Masterpiece. She's the secretary to the founder of GEMS - Ps Lilian Tng...or Aunty Lilian. Haha. I've been calling her that all this while...so it kinda stays...haha

Anyway, GEMs is a women's ministry that reaches out to women...ok..that's kinda, DUH. Haha. But yeah, they not only reach out to the socially normal women, they also reach out to ex-convicts.

And from the stories I always hear from my mum, I never knew women suffer so much in silence...Married women that is...Haha. All the testimonies that they share are really powerful and emotionally draining. Haha. Hopefully, after hearing all these stories, I will be a better husband next time...haha!

OK, anyway, I was the electric guitarist for the conference :) The conference was held in InterContinental Hotel Singapore...at Bugis :)

Yup, they booked a function room and did a whole day event there :)

The most rabak thing about this event is, sound check & rehearsal starts at 7.30am!!! HULEEYA!!! Woke up at 6am to wash up, dress up and eat up...haha...Eh, no I didn't eat, there's food there. Haha.

The next most rabak thing is...I have an exam paper the coming Monday which I have NOT STUDIED FOR AT ALL!! The paper's Data Structures and Algorithms! Took me a lotta faith and interest to give up one day of studying to play (in a band) with people that I don't personally know. Haha.

Anyway, we already met up once - a day before the event - to practice the songs. It wasn't a full band practice...it was a one-acoustic-guitar-played-by-Jonavan practice. Haha. I think the band wanted to assess my skill level to see what to expect from me. Haha.

After that session, we went out for supper! Ate at the Prata House. Boy do they miss prata. They were talking about how expensive the pratas in Australia were...and how it still can't match up to the way Singapore does it..haha. That's why I love Singapore...the food's awesome! Haha.

Anyway, this is the first time I played in a band with me not knowing the band members personally. I've never heard them play/sing before! The last time we actually had any form of communication was around 10 years ago? Haha! I'm serious.

The most awesome thing is, we only had 2 practice sessions. Oh well...I make it sound that bad eh? The thing is, we're all veteran musicians. We've all played for our churches for more than or around 5 years. Haha.

Ok, lemme introduce the band to you :)

Isaac Tng & myself :)

No, he is not a keyboardist. Haha. He is an awesome drummer. He won some Australian drum competition! His skill level is way past his age...his sense of rhythm, syncopation, speed and strength are all really seasoned. Haha. I'm like selling a product here...LOLS!

The band: Isaac Tng, Myself, Eudora Tng, Ian Low, Joshua Kwan, Melodie Tan, Evangeline Tng :)

Take 2 :D

Eudora, Melodie & Evangeline are AWESOME SINGERS. I seldom praise people..especially musicians, so when I do, it means they're REALLY GOOD.

Their voices are angelic. Their breath control, usage of chest and head voice coupled with their soothing vibrato and formidable vocal range makes them sound like Glee. Haha.

Joshua's a really good singer too...but when you sing with those 3, you'll fade away into insignificance. Haha! That's why I didn't sing at all! HAHAHA! I was given a mike to sing but I decided not to since there are already 4 singers - 3 angels and 1 mortal. Haha!

Ian is a superb bassist. Can sense his perfectionist, excellence kinda spirit oozing outta him. To me he's someone very prim and proper and does things to the best he can.

All of them are studying in Australia...except Joshua, who'll be going over to Houston to study English. Hanging out with them is like hanging out with a group of ABCs: American Born Chinese or in their case, Australian born chinese. Haha! But nope, they're all Singaporeans.

Yup, we did 5-6 songs for the whole event. I really enjoyed the food and fellowship...haha. They're really nice, light-hearted, down-to-earth and accepting people.

They were here for only about 2 weeks+...sadly...haha. Now, for the send-off :(

Their friends...from left (excluding the band) Jolina, Ephraim, Joshua (Melodie's brother) and Brian (Ian's brother)

Take 2 :)

Had another awesome chat session with them at the airport. There I realized how FAT Ian was last time. HAHAHA! Now Ian's the slim, sleek, slender and toned guy that you see in the above pictures.

When he showed me a picture of himself last time...I was SHOCKED. He was a boomer! HAHAHA! Seriously boomer! HAHAHA! That's how powerful NS is...transform a boomer into a tank. HAHA!

That was the most fascinating discovery. Haha. Also chatted quite a fair bit with Melodie. She was telling me how she went to study music and singing in Oz and all...Yet another inspirational "pursue your dreams" story. I feel like quitting on Electrical & Electronic Engineering now, go grab my guitar and join some music school! HAHAHA!

That's not really too feasible and possible in light of the situation I'm already in. Haha! Oh well, I shall let the good Lord lead me on :)

Also chatted quite a bit with Vangie (Evangeline)...she was telling us about her chauvinistic boss and her chivalrous fiance...haha!

Yup, that's a little chapter in my life that I'll never forget. I don't know why am I saying that and why I feel we click so well...When I first met them at the 1st practice, it felt like we've known each other for years. Haha...

Why that bond? Hmmm...I think we share a common childhood history...We all grew up in Bethel when we were small kids singing songs in BCM and all...before they all shifted to CNL (Centre of New Life) and my parents and theirs are really good friends? Haha...

Anyway, they are really genuine, loving and optimistic people. Maybe that's why I enjoy hanging out with them...other than them being really good-looking and musically inclined...Haha!

Yup, that's one awesome with the Tngs :)

We are the Reason chords by Avalon

This is really random but I spent quite a lot of time figuring out the chords for "We are the Reason" as arranged by Avalon. Here's the YouTube video:

They changed key 4 times!! And the beautiful but irritating thing is, many key chords (excluding the many transitional colour chords) used in the song are not the usual family chords! To make things worse, the bridge is in the key of Eb major -.-"

I'm not familiar with the family chords of Eb major...as in, I don't know the chords by hard so I gotta refer to my own guitar theory notes to see what are the family chords! HAHAHA! But to no avail...

So after about 30mins of playing around with my guitar and 30mins of intent listening did I manage to hear out those weird colour chords.

Yup, here it is! Anyway, here's the key progression in the song:

Verse 1 & 1st chorus: C major
Verse 2 & 2nd chorus: G major
2nd chorus to Bridge: Eb major
Bridge to 3rd chorus: D major

1st chorus means: The 1st time the chorus is sung
2nd chorus means: The 2nd time the chorus is sung...

WE ARE THE REASON
Avalon                                        Key: G, Eb
Christian Classic
                  G
AS LITTLE CHILDREN
          D/F#                                 Em
WE'D DREAM OF CHRISTMAS MORN
        Dm7                            C                G/B               Am
AND ALL THE GIFTS AND TOYS, WE KNEW WE’D FIND
               B/D#            Em
BUT WE NEVER REALIZED
              D                                   A/C#
A BABY BORN ONE BLESSED NIGHT
                         C                                            D
GAVE US THE GREATEST GIFT OF OUR LIVES

Chorus:
G                                             Am
WE ARE THE REASON THAT HE GAVE HIS LIFE
D                                                       C                           G          D/F#
WE WERE THE REASON THAT HE SUFFERED AND DIED
         Em                          G+/D#
TO A WORLD THAT WAS LOST
                 D                       A/C#
HE GAVE ALL HE COULD GIVE
       C                      D                     G
TO SHOW US THE REASON TO LIVE

AS THE YEARS WENT BY
WE LEARNED MORE OF OUR GIFTS
THE GIVING OF OURSELVES, AND WHAT THAT MEANS
ON A DARK AND CLOUDY DAY
A MAN HUNG CRYING IN THE RAIN
BECAUSE OF LOVE
BECAUSE OF LOVE

Bridge (In Eb major):
   G# (Ab)                                               D# (Eb)
I FINALLY FOUND THE REASON FOR LIVING
             D#m (Ebm)                             C# (Db)
IT’S IN GIVING EVERY PART OF MY HEART TO HIM
    C#m (Dbm)                    G# (Ab)
IN ALL THAT I DO EVERY WORD THAT I SAY
             A# (Bb)                                D# (Eb)
I’LL BE GIVING MY ALL JUST FOR HIM
         A
FOR HIM

Bridge to Chorus: Chorus in key of D
Bracketed chords: Enharmonic representation of the non-bracketed chord

Yup, this is a superbly-out-of-this-world arrangement and performance by Avalon. They're probably the best contemporary Christian artist in this generation...as the YouTube video uploader claims. I kinda agree with him/her.

Not only is the music arrangement beautiful...Their voices are also superbly awesome! Their vocal ranges are crazy. I wish I can sing like them. Haha!

Anyway, it's near Christmas! So yup, this song is an awesome song to remember God's incarnation in the form of a man, Jesus Christ.

Happy Birthday in advance Jesus! :) Love you, always and forever :D

Kuishinbo with TP mates! :D

Yup, it's been a long time since we met up. Haha. So this time, the "excuse" or "reason" for our meet up is Joan's belated birthday. Haha!

Most of us didn't know we're meeting up for Joan's birthday...hahaha...Upon finding out, we quickly bought a really nice card and wrote really nice stuffs to her :D Haha. Lols

Yup, our meeting place was Suntec Kuishin-bo! A Japanese buffet restaurant. The food's really good...and so is the price...$50 per person. *Wallet tear into half*

Haha...anyway, I think we made our $50 worth it. I ate like a mad dog and whacked the beef, salmon, chawanmushi, unagi, crab, etc...I ate till I was SOOOOO FULLLLL that each step I took out of the restaurant was such a pain. HAHA! My stomach was bursting at its seams! HAHAHA!
Ok...on with the pictures taken by Royston :D

Me & Sam :)

Jill & Myself :) If you hadn't noticed, I'm trying to hide how full my mouth is...haha!

All of us! From left, Chor Seng, Wendy, Zi Xin, Mei Zhen, Joan Tan, Jill Chen, Me & Sam :D

Take 2 :D

Wiping mouth also wana take picture...haha...Yes, with Jill in the background...haha

All of us outside kuishin-bo

Re-living those childhood memories...hahaha!

Yup, had quite a meaningful meet up. And after our sumptuous meal at Kuishin-bo, we headed to Starbucks for another drink...haha. This time, with Guang Yao...who came after our sinful indulgence of food at Kuishin-bo. Haha.

I know is way past, but, nevertheless, Happy Birthday Joan! :) And thanks for the awesome Christmas card! :D

Serene's GREEN 21st! :)

Serene's TWENTY-ONE!! She celebrated her 21st birthday on the 6th November, four days shy of her actual birthday date.

The unique thing about her 21st birthday is...The dress code is GREEEEEEEN!!! Hahaha! So the whole party was a sea of green. HAHA!

Why green? Nope, she's not some super enthu environmentalist that wants to save the world...nope she is not some army regular that just loves the colour of the combat uniform...

Don't know ar? 6th November is HARI RAYA LA!! Green for ketupats, green ang-paos and whatever what-nots...HAHAHA!

Ok, it's simply because she loves the colour green...Like, duh? Haha.

Yup, some eyeball-friendly pictures...(green is good for the eye...haha)

Me & Reuben :)

Take 2 with flash...haha

Ok, throughout this whole post, you'll see many double pictures. 1 with flash, one without. That's because my camera has a mode which takes the 1st shot without flash and the 2nd (almost simultaneous..1 sec delay) shot  with flash. This is my preferred camera setting :)

This function, by the way, is good because if your 1st shot is ruined, the 2nd shot usually is not. Haha. Ruined shots are usually caused by photographers who just snap before you've given your best smile...so the 1 second delay will enable you to sneak in your good smile...which will be captured...Haha. Ok, whatever. LOLS!

Ding Zhou, Me & Chris Cheok...well sometimes the photographer's hands are just too rabak for my camera setting to do anything...HAHA!

My (ex) cell members! :D

Take 2...Aaron, Me, Elhannah & Sherry :)

Flash version...haha

Nathan, our guest performer & myself :)

Talking about our guest performer...There's this "performance" slot where her few scheduled friends would go up and perform a song for her.

Her first friend - a girl - was SUPER GOOD. Her voice was warm and she had good control over her vocals. Vibrato came out just right...Haha...Ok, it was really good. Lols.

The next item was Reuben & Joanne :D They did 1 less song because Serene's friend did the song they wanted to do "You Can Count on Me" by Bruno Mars...haha.

Finally, it was Nathan! He's a friend from the Philippines :D He did "Just the Way You Are"!! The thing is, he only lowered the key by 1/2!! Original key's in F major...He did it in E major! Which is still crazily high. But he did it awesomely! Haha.

Anyway, if you're wondering how Serene & I know Nathan, we both were on the same mission team to Philippines...So yup, that's how we got to know him :D Haha.

However, she definitely would know him much better...Haha. That's because she fulfilled God's seasonal call on her life by being a missionary there for 9 months! :) To think that I was one of the vessels God used to confirm her call is still really humbling and it always reminds me that when you're sensitive to God, He'll definitely use you. :)

Ok, enough stories, back to the pictures :)

REC Jake & myself :) EH, I mean PTE Jake Tan & 3SG (NS) Jonavan Lee :) HAHA!

Aaron & myself :)

Me & the birthday girl SERENE TENG!! :D

Take 1...

Take 2...

Take 3....Finally...haha

Oh, and what made her birthday exceptionally interesting was her PHOTO BOOTH! Right at her birthday venue - White Studio at Fort Canning - was a big photo booth...Something like Neo Print.

It's a big machine that has camera and a big screen that shows you what you look like on screen. The staff will then activate it and it will take 4 consecutive shots with 5 seconds countdown in between each shot.

The cool thing about it is, the whole package comes with TONS OF PROPS!! There were plenty of wigs, funky hats, cute beanies, flamboyant sunglasses, etc...haha.

A look at the pictures taken with the photo booth will give you an idea on what props were available...haha
Me & Reuben :) Yes, Reuben's on the right...haha.

Take 2. I think Reuben should get his hair dyed in all these flamboyant wig colours he's trying out....haha

Me, Aaron, Elhannah, Sherry & Viven :D

Another pic with my (ex) cell members...Don't know where Elhannah went...Has she left? Haha.

Serene's 21st invitation card :D In different shades of green...haha...Should put different hues of green, would've been much brighter :) Haha.

Her card to us! :)

Another awesome thing about her birthday is...we're supposed to write her birthday cards...Who'd expect to get a card from the birthday girl? Haha!

Anyway, I was her cell leader years back. Oh, those nostalgic memories...Haha. Ok, even further back, we were in BCM together. I only knew her as some praise kid back then...Praise kid in BCM (Bethel's Children Ministry) refers to a child who is on stage doing the actions of the song to inspire worship or at least participation on the ground. Haha. Sounds like some standing order eh? That's why I'm an ops spec...LOLS!

From there we went youth and we were in the same zone. We then joined the same ministry Fish4men. But she stayed true to BCM and not Fish4men...in a sense that she felt BCM was the primary ministry she should operate in.

Got to know her really well mainly through cell group actually. Mission trips and ministry did play a part but it was really cell group that solidified our friendship. Because we both stay in the east, we'd travel on the MRT together...and through those trips our thoughts-exchange or rather conversations also played a big part in making us better friends. Haha.

So yup, it's been a great blessing getting to know Serene...anyway, here's a random picture of me & her...probably the first picture we ever took together...Haha!

Youth Alive Anniversary - September 2008! :) Me, Serene & Jane :D

Yup, Happy 21st Serene Teng Si Min! :D Hahaha! I know all my cell member's Chinese names...HAHA! Try me :)

ODAC BBQ!

Yet another expired post. But it definitely warrants a page on my blog :D This took place on the 21st October 2011. It's an ODAC event planned by Pumpfest XV! :D

If you still do not know, Pumpfest is my department. In ODAC, there are many departments and Pumpfest is one of 'em! :D

Yup, as this event is soooo far back, I'll have to wholly rely on the pictures to tell the story :)

The decor team's hard work!

Random pose. Lols!

All these pictures are taken in the Hall 12 sports hall / function room whatever you call it. Haha. Our event was supposed to be held there. We already booked the venue, did all the paperwork and even got down to decorating our venue WHEN....

We realized the JCRC cocked the whole thing up. They made a double booking! After we booked the area, they allowed another party (Hall 13 if I remember correctly) to book the same place on the exact date!

-__-" As an ops spec in Tekong, if I ever gave 2 companies of recruits to book out at the same timing and jammed the whole ferry operation...I think I'd take at least 1 extra. See how well I smoke out. HAHA!

In Tekong, if a company screwed up my ferry timings, I'd have given it to them. But over here, nothing, no compensation. Fine, how much do I want? Just smile and let the whole thing pass peacefully la...Haha. As much as we have a case, sometimes a little grace will make life much easier.

In the end, we shifted to a nearby function room...I don't know is it Hall 13 or 12 or whatever...the thing is, we shifted venue last minute!

And the MAIN thing is...remember the first picture? Of the massive decoration we put up?? We now had to shift the WHOLE THING to the other function room!

Someone's idea was to scotch-tape the whole collage of post-its and transport it to the next venue. I wasn't too supportive of that idea but somehow, it turned out to be the best idea! Haha. My idea of re-pasting it over there would've failed quite terribly because of the time constraint and lack of post-its.

Yup, here is our operation transfer decor!

Ops Transfer-Decor in progress...Haha

We were macam like soldiers on a parade carrying the Singapore flag...haha! You can see in the picture below Officer Vanessa regimental-ly saluting at the camera...HAHA!

"Baris! Carry FLAG!!" HAHA!

Yup, we did a successful transplant...Haha. So on to the other pictures :)

Our decor team really did an awesome job. The name tags, guest book are all super up there!

ME! :D Feminine pose I...HAHA!

If you're wondering why I'm dressed like that, our theme for this BBQ is BACK TO SKOOL!! :D So all of us donned our old school uniforms or others' school uniforms to this event!

Made us feel young again! HAHAHA! On a heavier note, I really miss my primary, secondary school days. I think I enjoyed life the most in my secondary school days...compared to poly and university. Ok, I think uni's super awesome as well...haha.

I don't know but I made tons of friends in secondary school and brought tons of them to church. I still did in poly, but much, much lesser. My gears are starting to slow...Oh well, I needa find back the previous brand of petrol I used...Finding it back slowly :)

Me & Kai Sen :)

I'm wearing Kai Sen's airforce no. 3 uniform by the way...HAHA! Just added an extra tie and name-tag to make it look civilian. Haha. Thankfully, it worked!

Me, Kai Sen & Chor Seng :)

I was trying to show how short Kai Sen's pants are in the picture above. Haha! Just a simple cross-legged pose and people will inevitably notice how hairy my manly legs are...HAHAHA!

And Chor Seng LOOKS SO SUPER NERD with the high-pitched, squeaky, scare-dy voice that says "HI! I'M CHOR SENG! PLEASE PUNCH ME COS I'M A DUMB NERD" HAHAHA!

I'm not against his looks or anything...He looks perfectly fine in everyday dressing...but in this attire, I had to restraint myself...HAHAHA! Don't you agree with me? One more picture below...HAHA!

From left to right: Ah Beng, Prefect, NERD.

We started out with games in the function room (pictured above) and then we proceeded to BBQ and we finally returned back to the function room for another round of games! :)

Pumpfest picture! :)

Take 2 :D

After the games....some random group photos...Haha.

Take 2 :)

Jump-shot! Pang Ngee looks like some small kid that was given permission to go to the playground...HAHAHAHA! :D

Pumpfest XV! :D

Logistics Officers Jonavan, Kai Sen & Chor Seng :D The ah-beng, prefect & NERD. HAHAHA!

Take 2 :D

ODAC pose :D

Yup, that's more or less about it. Had quite a lot of fun...but not FULLY FUN because we are the organizing committee! Had to make sure everything ran smoothly so we were busy running around setting up shop and setting it down.

All in all, it was a successful event but really taxing on our studies. Because it was during our quiz period and we still had to shoulder this heavy responsibility of organizing a CCA-wide (100++ pax) event.

But we had fun :) Learnt more about each other through this process :) I now know who're the fun-ones, organized-ones, judgmental-ones, pull-rank ones, insightful-ones, etc...I think I'm more of the chillax-one that still made things happen.

Yup, don't wish for too many of such events during studies! HAHA!
