Keziah's 1st Birthday!

Another post I forgot to blog...Haha. It is my mum's brother's firstborn's birthday! :) She is called Keziah. Is she my niece, cousin or what? I also don't know. Haha.

The interesting thing about Keziah's family is that, their whole family's name starts with "K". Her parents are Kelvin and Karen...so her name followed suit...Haha. And Keziah is a biblical name by the way. Haha.

My family too...all of our names start with "J" :D Haha...James, Julie, Jonavan, Jeravan and Jerina. :)

Yup, we were celebrating her first birthday! :) Pictures...

Jeravan, Jerina & myself :D

We were in Uncle Kelvin & Karen's condo's function room..."The Esparis" in Pasir Ris. It was a really nice and new condo.

They, being interior designers by vocation, would obviously have stunning interior design. We stepped into their house and was like "Whoa!" haha.

Carefully selected art pieces and portraits gave their home a very urban, modern, stylistic kinda feel. A few old furniture gave some corners a more historical look...Haha.

After we visited their place, we went down to their function room for dinner...

The food was catered from Botak Jones! You'd have thought all the dishes would be awesome......but not quite. Haha. The fish wasn't too good...the bread-crumb-ed fish wasn't crispy enough - it was kinda soggy and the fish was kinda hard.

Their cajun chicken was really hard. Haha. DLS.

The mash-potato was really good though. Haha. It was the most popular dish around. After that I ta-paoed like half a tray of mash potato home. Haha. It was really, really good! :D

And their cheese vegetables were good...Ok I'm not sure if it's cheese...Haha. They served this raw vegetable...I forgot what it's called...haha...and it is to be taken with this yellow, custardy, salty paste which was quite good actually. Haha. I think the paste has got something to do with cheese...Haha. Ok whatever..LOLS.

Jonavan, Jethro & Joel

Joel & Jethro are my cousins :) Their names start with "J" too, interestingly. Haha. And the other thing we have in common is that we are all sergeants. LOLS. Joel ORD-ed already. Jethro is still in SISPEC or SCS, and myself? 3SG(NS) lo! HAHA! :D

My mom just called me and snapped. Thankfully my reaction was good. LOLS.

Oh, the cupcakes were AWESOME! Rich in creamy flavour and well complemented by the nuts and toppings. One of the best desserts there.

Aunty Karen, Uncle Kelvin and their 1 year old daughter Keziah :)
Happy Birthday Keziah! :)

Anna Misses You BBQ! :) + 1st drive session + overnight L4D

Anna's back from Mexico/US! :) And upon her return, she throws a "Anna Misses You" party at Joel's house! Haha. Anna's really good at making excuses to have group meetings...which is awesome. I love to do that too. Haha.

Yup, pictures...
Merylmy, Abi, Me & Anna :)

And btw, the shirt Abi's wearing is bought by Merylmy & myself for her as her b'day gift! :) Nice right? HAHA! The moment we saw the shirt we all hit the "Bingo" button at the same time...so we bought it :) Haha.

And if you're wondering who's merylmy...then you needa brush up on your phonics and pronunciation...Meryl + Jeremy = Merylmy! :) HAHA! Abigail coined this shortform. Haha.

Candid shot...Don't I look good candid? HAHA!

Now I look better...LOLS!

If you're wondering what am I putting to my mouth...it's those long-ish mushrooms wrapped in meat and BBQed with a slab of cheese on it. Awesome. Made by Merylmy if I'm not wrong. Haha.

Me & Jeremy :)

Boomer melee attack on a un-suspecting survivor in L4D3. HAHA!

I switched team to become infected...So now u have a smoker and boomer making friends. HAHA!

If I had made the above 2 pictures the cover photo for my album or for my blog post, you'd have thought that I should've titled my post "Joel misses you BBQ!" HAHA!

Abigail & myself take 1...

Take 2...

After she looked at the first shot taken, she was like "Ahh! Take again! Can see my thighs!" HAHA! I really don't get it...It's not like her thighs are heinously fat or loaded what...They're what most girls would wish for. Haha. Oh well, I guess she has her reasons...haha!

Finally, a shot with the central person of the whole event...Anna :)

She's super tan now. The western sun has baked her brown. Haha. In her AA videos you can also see that. But I think Amanda's fine though. Or is she not? Haha.

Group photo! :)

Oh, Anthony was also there but he left mid-way. Anyway, had a cool time together...sang lotsa songs because there were like 4 playlists there...Anna's phone, someone else's phone taking turns to plug into the speakers...Guess who're the other 2 playlists? Me & Joel! HAHA! On the guitar. Lols.

Yup, had a great time catching up...but didn't catch up too much either. Lols.

Joel & my day didn't end after this event...We went out to L4D with Lebbillie, Yang Cheng & Ding Zhou! :) HAHA!

It was Lebbillie's last day in Singapore before she departs for Australia for the last time...so we decided to give her a dose of L4D before she flies to Oz. Haha.

And guess what? Joel let me drive his car there! HAHA! I just passed my driving 2 days before man. LOLS! And Anna brought her P plate for me...Haha! So we had all the necessary ingredients for me to drive! HAHA!

The fact that I'm blogging this shows that we didn't die. HAHAHA!

Anyway, we ended LAN at 4am. I slept at Lebbillie's place. By the time I was ready to sleep, it was already 5am....

I wanted to sleep for like an hour before I wake up to take first few bus 969 home. But when I opened my eyes, it was 8am! Whoa, 4 hours! Haha.

Anyway, I didn't fall asleep in the HoGC service. HAHA! True soldier indeed! LOLS!

Anyway, welcome back Anna & farewell Lebbillie for the last time! :)

Lebbillie's 21st Birthday!

It's Lebbillie's 21st Birthday! A bit too early to celebrate though. Her actual birthday's on the 1st of August. But she'd have flown back to Australia for a week by then. Yup, thus the early celebration.

We didn't really live up to her birthday party theme of "Accessorize"...hahaha. Guys got much less things to accessorize than ladies...Haha. What are the acessorize-able possibilities?...I could've wore a vest, a hat, a bow tie and brought a nice walking stick that could've doubled as an umbrella......that's all I can think of. Lols.

I was supposed to perform for her birthday so since everyone has already formed their performing team, I brought a special guest to perform with me :) He's not too special since everyone knows him...he's on the left in the picture right below with the jiao-bin..........

Marc, Me & Joshua :)

MARC! Haha. Marc and I were actually discussing comeback lines for him when he got questioned or suan-ed for his presence there...Haha...Some of our lines were "Eh...you know who brought Lebbillie's Burberry wallet back from USA not?" and "Who brought back the effects for Lebbeus from USA ar??" Hahaha!

Marc did have to use those lines...hahaha. Well-preparedness is a good trait to possess. Haha!

Yup, on with the photos...

Me & Regina :)

It's been real long since we met man. Haha. From chatting on the phone for hours late into the wee hours of the night to communicating only once a month...Well, we'll schedule a catch-up session soon...haha.

Me & Marc :)

Been meeting him recently because we're having a coming gig soon at Marina Bay Sands....Or Yellow Jellow...See how things turns out. Rock on Mr. Lawyer! Haha. Oh, I didn't know that Ron was taking the same course as him too...Haha. So yup, 2 lawyers-to-be in the Wan family...hahaha.

Joel & Me :D

The ever-ready L4D boomer...Ready to spawn anytime...Haha! He also performed at Lebbillie's party with Ding Zhou on the guitars, Xin Jin, Debbie and one more person (I think) sang. Did Joel sing? Nope. He was playing the ukelele...Haha. Thank God! LOLS!

Jon & Josh...haha.

Mr USA...Xiao Hua's heading to US to study in some university in Illinois. So many ppl going overseas so study...Too rich sia...haha! Oh well, all the best dude! :)

Serene & I :)

Another long lost soul that I haven't met for really long. We'll usually chat on MSN or chat in church about the more spiritual stuffs...since I was her cell leader previously...Haha. Another person on the to-meet-list to find out all about her Philippino adventure. Haha.

Oh ya, our performance! :) Joel caught a few good shots of us on "stage" :) Thanks Ella! :D HAHA!

Me & Marc...with his standard JBs....hahaha.

"If...it's Love!"

Note articulation...haha

Finally, a picture with the birthday girl! HAHA!

Lebbillie & I :) Cherilynn cut off the last letter "E" in the picture... -.-" Haha.

The letter "E" included...plus alot of background... -.-" Haha.

Me & Ding Zhou :)

Another L4D buddy. 2am call him out to L4D also can one...He'll just spawn there like a jockey...HAHA! Taking into consideration his relatively small build and feasibility of humping someone like a jockey...HAHAHA! Ok, whatever...LOLS.

Cherie & I :)

Also haven't talked with her for real long. I think I haven't spoke to everyone for a real long time la since I'm no longer in Bethel...Haha.

Yang Cheng & Me :)

Another activate-able / spawn-able L4D buddy...HAHA! Our meet-ups have been frequent thanks to a common interest of slashing zombies at cheap rates of at most $2/hour. HAHA!

Me & Lebbeus...with our guitars :) Marc got parkinson's disease la...that's why the picture come out so blur...HAHAHA!

Take 2...without our guitars... :) And, we're not that white...It's the super bright white light beside us that makes us look like we use skincare products...HAHA!

Lebbillie's Birthday Cake! It's more of icing than cake la actually...Haha. But it sure is pretty :)

Yup, Happy Birthday Lebbillie! :) May God continue to be Lord of our awesome friendship :D

NTU + CS + TP

The grace of God has really been upon my life for the past few weeks...
1) Appealed entry into NTU! HALLELUJAH! :)
2) Combat Shoot - Marksmen! :)
3) Traffic Police Test - Class 3 license obtained! :)

Let me elaborate...
1) Entry to Nanyang Technological University
I was rejected by them TWICE. Haha. The first time I applied was last year. Due to my lousy CGPA of 3.38, a drop from a glorious 3.93, they didn't even spit in my direction. Haha!

However, this time, we were more adamant. My dad wrote an appeal letter in for my admissions and......the next thing I knew, one of the professors called me quite early on a Saturday morning around 10am.

I was still having breakfast when his call came in. I thought it was some credit card caller or some stupid contractor from Tekong calling me requesting last minute RPL entry for their vehicle......it always happens.

His first line changed my whole morning "Hello, is this Jonavan? This is Professor so & so...forgot his name...calling from NTU regarding your admissions." I almost choked on my french toast. HAHA!

We simply chatted...ok more of a informal interrogation...he asked the standard few questions "Why you wanna go NTU?", "What other courses you applied for in other unis, if any?", "Do you know how well you fair amongst the other applicants?", etc...

I answered all his questions candidly and light-heartedly. However, I wasn't prepared for the next 3 questions...

"Jonavan, I'm gonna ask you a few questions related to engineering. What do you get when you differentiate cos2x?"

I froze...and replied "Whoa, these formulas so long ago. I can't remember already la sir. All my Amaths last time do so many times now forget already sir."
He shot back "But these are the fundamentals of engineering, how can you forget?

I continued justifying why I forget all those stuffs...talk about being in army for so long, told him that all these formulas didn't have a practical use in my microelectronics final year project as the formulas differed.

He finally said "Just give me an answer that you think is most correct."
I gave up. I said "Ok, I think the answer is -sin2x"
He replied "Ok, it is not correct. Do you know you must differentiate the coefficient of the argument in the term?"...He said something like that.
I was "Ooookkkkkk..."

"Ok, now what is the formula for power?"
I was so pissed off. I frantically rummaged my stuff trying to find my old textbooks to get the answer on time...while rummaging, I continued justifying and saying how long all these ago were. I told him "these are just formulas sir! Give me one month to revise no problem one!"

HAHA! He pressed me for the answer. I simply replied "Ok, from memory I think it is P = E / T"

"Ok, good" came his reply. WHOO HOO! I thought...then came another question... -__-"

"Next is ohm's law. What is the ohm's law formula?"

Once again, I said in my defeated but adamant in justifying myself tone "Haha! Sir, all these really long ago la sir..."

He then told me that the formula involved R, V and I. -.-" I KNEW THAT OK!
I then said "Ok, I think the formula is I = V / R"
"Ok good. Ok Jonavan, that's about it. Do you have another other things to tell me?"
I replied "Haha...Do you have any other things you'd like to know about me?"
"Ok then, that's all then. You'll be informed about the outcome of your appeal my post in a week's time."
"Thanks sir!"

The next week...the letter from NTU came in and all I remembered from that letter is "Welcome Onboard!"

HALLELUJAH! :D I've been praying and telling God "Your will be done Lord - be it part time in NUS or full time in NTU. But my preference is FULL TIME IN NTU! And if that coincides with your will, then let it be."

True enough. God is a good God.

2) Combat Shoot (CS)
I was really afraid that I, or rather, we wouldn't get marksmen because marksmanship is a team effort in combat shoot. We shoot as a detail. Total up our detail's score and that will determine whether we get the $200 and get to wear the marksman badge.

In my detail was Andre Too, Elson Ng and Jason Cheng. One by one they told me about their shooting inadequacy and how they always miss targets and all... -__-"

After the IMT (Individual Marksmanship Trainer), it turned out that I was the worst though. HAHAHA!

But of course, on the actual shoot, I was the 2nd best :) LOLS. I missed a total of 4 shots.

Jason missed 2 shots...and the rest missed like 5 - 8 shots individually. But that didn't stop us from attaining marksmanship! :)

The awesome thing about this shoot is, we really got to know each other. Haha. The day shoot ended around 1pm+. So we all had to wait for nightfall to commence our night shoot.

In that span of 5hours+, the standard SAF soldier will...sleep in the training shed. Haha. But not my detail and Louis.

Oh, there's also Louis, my colleague. He's shooting his ATP (Advanced Trainfire Package). He's a really nice, soft-spoken, shy and cutesy (in a small boy-boy way) kinda guy.

So yup, while waiting for nightfall, we played Monopoly Deal for that 5hours! HAHAHA! Over the game we talked about our jobs, talked about our bosses, talked about our lives, talked about Louis' & Jason's girlfriends...HAHA!

Had a lot of fun. It felt like some chalet outing...playing, chatting, laughing, etc...just that we were all in green and have rifles to take care of. Haha.

Yup, thank God for the $200! :)

3) Traffic Police (TP) driving test!
The previous test I unexpectedly failed. Why? Because the tester was all quiet and didn't comment much...so I thought my driving was awesome. Little did I know that it was too rabak that he got nothing to say...HAHA!

For this test, I thought I will most definitely fail. Haha. Why? Because the tester kept scolding me! Haha.

The moment I did my first lane change, came the barrage of comments. He was like "Young people like you  ah, only know how to accelerate. Change gear also never change appropriately. So scared to pull your leg of the accelerator. Like that how to become driver?"

He then angstily asked "Tell me how to reduce speed of the car?"

My quick, confident reply came "Switch to lower gear and use engine brake. After that brake."

He then sighed angstily "See. Young people like you only know how to use brake. How to be driver? Give me this type of stupid answer. Don't know what you are talking."

I was quite pissed already...almost sweared at him. HAHA! But I replied in a more frustrated tone "Correct what. You slow down use engine brake first ma."

He then retorted "See, you all young people only know how to step on the accelerator. To reduce speed you just have to release the accelerator what! Aiyoh! How to be driver like that?"

I kept quiet. I knew my license was on the line. Haha! I wanted to tell him "when you use engine brake of course will release accelerator what. Understood what. Where got people change gear while stepping accelerator one?"

Anyway, I just kept quiet smiled and laughingly said a "Oh ya."

Oh, what a good actor I am. Should go try for Hollywood or at least Mediacorp. Lols!

He continued ranting and scolding me all the way back to CDC. Even when we left the car and proceeded to the room to get my results he was still lecturing me. -__-"

I already saw myself walking to the CDC counter renewing my PDL, booking my next TP and my next few refresher driving lessons. All hope was lost.

HOWEVER, as we were walking to the room for my results he made one statement which made me smile..."You drive like that, can pass la, but damn dangerous know?"

He said "CAN PASS LA." Those 3 words hit the HOPE button in my heart and all the images of me renewing my PDL vanished. Haha.

We sat down, he continued ranting and telling me where my mistakes were while my results were in his hand. He kept it from my view and continued talking for a good 5minutes before showing it to me...

"Nah...Still must improve your driving ah!"

I could not contain the smile that just involuntarily grew on my face. I was beaming...partly due to the glare of my braces...HAHAHA!

I walked down to the admin services centre, passed my results slip to the instructor. He looked at it and asked me "The tester got scold you a lot not?"

I was like "Whoa, how you know?"

He then replied in a half-joking, half-truthful way "The more the tester scold you, the higher your chances of passing."

I laughed. He laughed as he selected the option "PASSED" on my online profile in the system. :)

All in all, I spent around $2000+ to get my stupid driving license.

Overall, I had like 37 lessons...because I failed once. Haha.

My advice is...DON'T GO SCHOOL! GO PRIVATE! Let me expound on it...

a) Lessons have to be booked a month or more in advanced. If you're late, all the slots are booked. Like now, it's end June and the September slots are already fully booked!

Super inflexible...and you don't get a fixed instructor unless you sign up for one-team which costs like $12 more per lesson? Or $10 more? I can't remember.

b) 1 driving lesson - 100 minutes costs $70 after 5pm and $60 before 5pm. The average private instructor market rate is $35 - $45 per hour. Multiply it by like 20 lessons and see the cost savings.

c) Travelling to the school. Most of my friends who take private driving lessons have their instructor fetch them from home and send them home after the lesson.

The only good thing about school is...you get comprehensive driving lessons...They make you do U-turns like 20 times before allowing you on to the next module...Haha.

Yup, anyway, VRROOOMMM VROOMM LO! :)

And of course, ORD LO!! :D In a week's time...haha...Ok, fine, it's a temporary ORD. I'm disrupting ok?

Haha. Praise God for his awesome hand of grace and mercy on me! Love you Jesus! Deep deep! :)

Family Holiday In Ipoh :D

I was partly to lazy to type this post and partly kinda too busy to spend time on this...Haha. Thus the 1 month late blog post...Haha.

Anyway, my family - Daddy, Mummy, Me, Jeravan & Jerina - went for a holiday in Ipoh, Malaysia! :) Our 3 day trip is from 22nd - 25th June 2011 :) I had to take 3 days leave....Oh well, who needs leave when I've got tons of offs?? :D Oops....haha!

Since this took place so long ago, I'd have to rely on the pictures to refresh my memory so I can narrate our little vacation :D

Me, Jeravan, Daddy & Jerina at the budget terminal! :)

This time, we didn't take Singapore Airlines or some other mainstream airline...we took budget airline!! Looks like the 3 of us started sucking up our family's budget....haha.

Yup, I didn't know that budget airlines have another budget terminal! I thought they were mixed with T1 - T3 at Changi Airport...Haha! Sua ku sia!

We took bus and walked to the budget terminal because unlike Terminals 1 - 3, the budget terminal did not have direct bus or train access...The nearest and only bus stop was a good 10minute walk away from the budget terminal.

We survived the 10min walk in civilian FBO (our massive luggages...HAHA!) and we were all like "Whoa, what is this Malaysia airport doing in Singapore?" HAHA!

It really looked like some Giant supermarket in Malaysia with a McDonald's at one side and the counters in one whole row and a few other shops littered along the perimeter of the structure.

The budget airline we were taking is "Firefly", a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines. Its company name doesn't sound like "Singapore Airlines" or "British Airways"...

Their airline name is FlyFirefly Sdn Bhd. -___-" Wows. Haha! I was like "Huh?" Sdn. Bhd.? Pte. Ltd.? Sounds like some car repair company like "Ah Huat Car Services Pte Ltd" kinda thing? HAHA!
Ok, enough of the "Singapore-imperialist-complex" comments. Haha. The plane was really cute. It was small and had 2 big rotors...

Me with the cutesy Firefly airplane! :) See the big fat rotor behind me?

In order of height, the four of us posing with the plane...Ok it wasn't really a pose if you look carefully at our faces...HAHAHA!

The flight took around around 1.5 hours...It really is slow...A normal Boeing plane would've took around 45minutes. Haha. Oh well, it's budget. And there was quite a lot of turbulence when the plane flew through what seemed like a never ending cloud...Haha!

The first thing you do upon arrival is always this...Admit it...I know you do it too.......

Me & Jerina savouring the beds...haha

Hotel beds always seem better than our own home beds...Just like the grass is always greener, the bed is always softer, whiter and more inviting.

The truth is, it's 20x dirtier than our beds at home...because you don't know how many thousands of people have laid on the bed sheets without bathing, drool on it, vomit on it, pee on it, menstruate on it, ejaculate on it....Ok...that's enough. Haha. I think I just permanently spoilt my imperssion of hotel beds already...Haha!

The first day was mainly spent on shopping. The nearest shopping centre was a 10minute walk from our hotel. Awesome! :)

On the way there we stopped by a chinese zi char stall...haha. The food was good...Somewhat like Singapore food...But the best part is...It's 50% cheaper!! :D Whoo hoo! HAHA! We Singaporeans see everything with a 50% discount spectacles in M'sia. Haha.

Yup, bought a nice, tight-fitting polo-T and a nice white T-shirt with the motif "Live without limits" by Jeep...again...HAHA!

Yup, that was the first day...eating and shopping...we window shopped more than shop actually. Haha.

On the second day, my dad rented a car. So off we went to one of the most famous attractions around there..."The Lost World of Tambun"

The entrance...before you get lost...in Tambun...HAHA! Ok, that's was pretty...erm...cold...haha.

Still at the entrance...posing with the Egyptian cats...haha...and no that isn't a flamingo...it's my brother...practicing his ballet moves...HAHA!

If you're still wondering what the "Lost world of Tambun" is, it's a water-theme park...Something like "The Big Splash" kinda thing? Only 3 to 4 times bigger and 2 times cheaper. HAHA!

Posing with one of the pools

Hot springs! I think it's more than 43 degree celsius man...Dipped my hand in and I thought I was gonna be a one-armed swordsman...HAHA! Pardon my lameness...

At the entrance of the petting zoo :D

They really put effort in their signboards...not just some roadside signboard...haha.

RACCOON! :) SUPER CUTE!!

Climbing up...

Reached it's destination...It's pole-dancing now....Haha.

All of us admiring the cuteness and amazing beauty of God's creation...The raccoon :)

Rabbits...also really cute...I thought they'd be quite used to us touching them since it's a petting zoo...but the moment you stroke it, it hurries off...haha

Guinea pigs! :) SUPER CUTE TOO!

One thing I learnt about guinea pigs...They're more than cute...They're also really horny and liberal with their PDA (Public Display of Affection)....see below...

R21!! HAHA!

Skunks! Super cute too...They react to my high pitched yelp...Whenever I yelp "yyeeaaoohhh!" they'll get frightened and jerk in a real cute way...HAHAHA! Really cute...

Water snake!! It swims real fast on the water surface man...Don't play play...

Bird Paradise! :)

The bird paradise was by far the scariest...The birds were SOOOOO friendly!! When we reached the entrance of the huge cage...All the birds flew toward us and perched on the door!! WHOA! I thought I was in a Angry Birds game! HAHAHA!

We went in and next thing we knew, they just started flying on us and landed on our shoulders, bags and all!!! We had to shoo them away like houseflies man! HAHAHA!

The birds were soooo friendly! Aiyooo! Super cute also la...but scared they peck out my eyeballs or something man...hahaha.

Only my dad was interacting well with the Ipoh Airforce...haha.

Birds feeding off Daddy's handful of seeds.

Still bird-feeding...That pigeon is twice the size of those in Singapore! Overgrown pigeons are scary man.

Taking a picture with the parrots...OH were they noisy and piercing! Their shrieks are like 5X sharper and louder than mine man! I've lost! HAHA!

We then continued walking around the whole complex...The awesome thing about this Lost World of Tambun is...It's boundaries are marked by mountains...Take Singapore Zoo for example, it is fenced up by human structures...This Lost World is fenced up by mountains! Really serene place...

Daddy & Mummy with a stump in the background...haha.

I really don't know what's so nice about that vertical piece of rock but since my mum aimed the camera at us, we just smiled. Haha.

Bridge over water...or river...

In the cave...

When we walked in the cave, I was wondering why the cave was so cooling...The afternoon was sweltering hot. My first logical deduction was "Oh ya, caves are meant to be cooling."

Next thing I saw were two big aircons...The huge stand-fan kinda aircon...HAHA! So much for being intellectual...LOLS!

Next up were the carnival rides...which were entirely empty because it is in the hottest period of the day...Haha. We simply went around and took pictures :)

Mummy & Me posing with the train + Daddy in the background...haha

Nope, that's not my ambition next time...haha

Jerina & myself :D

Stuffed-toys! :D

Water playground! :)

Next, we all changed into our swimwear and engaged all their water slides and playgrounds...It is after all the main attraction of this place.

Our float...

If you're wondering what this float is for, it is basically for us to lie on and float around the perimeter of the whole water arena. The water slides and playgrounds are all surrounded by a moat. So you can just take your float and go round the whole compound.

Here's one of the many entrances to the "moat"...

Me & Jeravan :)

It was at this location where Jeravan dropped his spectacles... -__-" We spent like 10minutes searching for it before my dad finally found it. Haha. What a great way to start our "moat" journey...LOLS.

Water slide!! :)

The product of too much office work...HAHA!

Yup, played around, swam around and took all the slides there is before leaving "The Lost World of Tambun".

Oh and I forgot to mention, we collected back our food from the counter...Haha. This is what happened...We knew we're gonna play in there and not have time to sit down and have our lunch. So, we ta-paoed breakfast!

Took tons of cheese, egg and tuna sandwiches and muffins and wrapped them in the hotel serviettes. Haha. Upon entry to the "lost world", they said we couldn't bring food in -__-" So they safe-kept the food for us...Lols.

Yup, upon exit, we collected our lunch. Lols.

The next day we headed out to see a few more attractions in Ipoh...The caves.

Us standing at the entrance to the cave...

When we arrived at the site, we were told that they were on "Simbayan" or something like that. Don't know how to spell it...haha.

Basically all the people running the attraction went for their Friday prayers... -__-" Haha.

I now know how Singapore can win a war against Malaysia, attack them on a Friday afternoon. Win. Haha!

Anyway, if you've been wondering how we got around, my dad rented a car. Duh...haha. Here it is...

Standard car around there...No one knew we were Singaporeans...until we opened our mouths...Haha.

Our next stop? The next attraction! Kellie's Castle. Historical site...And I don't know what's so memorable about the castle...ahaha. I remember reading those tourist information board about the castle...It was saying this is some love castle or something...Haha.

Yup, as usual, take photo and we're off on the road again...Haha.

In order of height...Yes my brother has outgrown me...Haha.

The bright coloured people...Haha.

Yup, next place we went to...The ferry terminal...Haha. I was kinda reluctant because...I visit the ferry terminal everyday! I take the ferry everyday! I manage the ferries in Tekong! Haha.

I am the sea ferry I/C. And here I am, visiting another ferry terminal. Oh well, it'll be cool to know how up-there are we in our management of our sea ferry service. Haha.

Me, Jeravan & Daddy.

Well, it says "Pulau Pangkor" not "Pulau Tekong"...haha

This is such a "sea ferry I/C" pose. Haha!

Shopping near the ferry terminal

After that, we drove down to Woolley Food Centre. There they serve awesome zi char food. Very much like Singapore. Only oilier, less hygienic and 50% cheaper. Haha.

Makan-ing...

After our "outfield" adventure...we returned back to bunk...only to play Monopoly Deal...Haha! During the game Jerina cheated by snatching and looking at my cards. She won...a hollow victory. From there, we nicknamed her "hollow". HAHA!

Monopoly Deal-ing :)

Monopoly Deal-ing with Daddy after bathing...Ok, only I bathed...the rest didn't as you can see from the shirts we're wearing from the previous pic...Haha.

Yup, that was our last day of "outfield". The next day...was breakfast, shopping and a hearty lunch before flying off...
Buffet breakfast :D

The self-cook noodle section

The toast section...Don't know why Mummy wants to take all these...Haha.

Yes, our awesome lunch. We came to this place where they specialized in noodle soup. I ate drunken-prawn noodles, the rest ate meat ball noodle soup la, pork noodle soup la, etc...haha. Basically, it was awesome. Super tasty.

Goodbye Ipoh! :)

All in all, Ipoh is a nice place with nothing much. Haha! Ok, they have a few malls here and there and a few caves and historical sites here and there and of course, their water-theme park called "The Lost World of Tambun".

The good thing about Ipoh is, it is Chinese-predominant. Everywhere you go is Chinese people. That's why there is so much good food around there.

The thing about Ipoh is, if you're looking for Ipoh hor fun, you won't find it! Because all their hor fun is Ipoh hor fun. Haha.

Like what my parents said "Tourists from other countries come to Singapore to eat 'Singapore Noodle' but they won't be able to find it. Because all the noodles are Singapore noodles." Haha. Yup, that's quite true. Haha.

What made this trip memorable to me is the shopping! And the monopoly deal-ing. Haha. The water slides and all are no doubt fun, but somehow, it didn't rank no. 1 in my nostalgic feeling. Haha.

Hope to go to a more exciting holiday location soon :)
