Huifang & Chin Ming's Wedding! :)

Covenant Evangelical Church was gorgeous. To me the church was more like a hotel than a church. HAHA! It's interior designs were fantastic. And the water feature right smack at the entrance of the church wasn't a water feature, it was a baptism pool! That's what Yang Cheng & I discovered :) haha.

The reason why Chin Ming & Huifang's wedding was held there is because Chin Ming was the architect for that church building! Whoa...real cool :)

And thanks Eunice's mum for fetching all of us there! :) haha.

Let's get on with the pics...haha...

Chin Ming made this doll house for Huifang! Aww.. :)

This is what made the wedding so special...Chin Ming made this dollhouse for Huifang! It was a surprsie actually.

It started with Chin Ming playing a video of himself playing and singing a love song dedicated to Huifang. And then he flashed a Channel U programme which Huifang hosted.

That episode that aired on TV showed her interviewing an old english aunt about the story behind a SUPER BIG GORGEOUS doll house that her husband left her. The aunt said that it is the last gift her husband gave her before he died and that's what reminds her of him. Upon translating that to chinese, Huifang broke down into tears on national TV and she was saying something like "Whichever guy who would do that for his wife would be super sweet"

Upon the ending of the video, Chin Ming unveiled a little doll house that he too crafted for her which brought Huifang to tears. The emcee then asked her how she felt...Her teary reply was "Hao Diu Lian" [what a shame...(to be caught crying on her wedding)] haha..LOLS.

So yeah, I think that's what set apart this wedding from others :D

Christopher was telling me "Whoa thank God Joanne (his gf..duh..haha..) didn't come man...spoil market." HAHAHA! This would've set a high standard and stress the single guys who witnessed the effort Chin Ming put in to surprise Huifang on this very special day...Haha...Really spoil market. HAHAHA! LOLS...

And finally...
A picture with our dear couple - Chin Ming & Huifang :)

There are still alot of pictures we snapped there that's stuck in Marc's camera -__-" So yeah...stay tuned..LOLS..

And, CONGRATS Chin Ming & Hui Fang! After 8 long years of courtship...it finally matured to marriage.

I wonder how long I'll date my future sweetheart.....HAHA.

Family Chalet @ Raffles Town Club :)

My parents booked a chalet, ok, it's a hotel suite in Raffles Town Club to celebrate my birthday. I aleady made efforts to make this day free.

And I forgot to cordon off this day on the MM schedule! Haha. So I had to fulfill my responsibilities there by going @ 9am to teach elec guitar and then go service prac and then do our "Who Cares?" rehearsal. It all ended @ 5pm.

Hectic. I felt like slapping myself for forgetting to let my leaders know that I'm not available that day. But I forgot, so I had to be there :) Nevertheless, I had lotsa fun doing all of those stuff that I really love and believe in :)

So my dad fetched me and we had a nice dinner @ a fine dining Japanese Restaurant in the Club :)

Me, Jerina, Daddy & Jeravan + Mummy as the camera-woman. Haha!

Notice that we have to remove our shoes to sit in this Japanese-style way of dining. The table is super short and we 'insert' our legs below it...Haha.

Next we went to play billards. Boy was I rusty. But I still entered quite a few balls :) Haha.

Billard shoot out :)

Then we went bowling...Haha.. We're on a facilities rampage. HAHA!

Jerina & I bowling :D

Jeravan, Daddy & Myself waiting for our turn :D

Me, Jerina & Jeravan :)
After our facilities rampage, our stomachs were grumbing..So we headed for supper! :)

Supper time :D

Daddy, Me, Jerina & Jeravan + Mummy again as the photographer. HAHA.

Supper Dessert! :D
Before leaving...
Yup, that day was a cooL day spent with my cool family :D haha.

Last day of work + Coming NAPFA!

Today is my last day of work in TP. So I guess this will be my last time I'll set foot in TP with an official status as a student or staff...haha..

I'm pretty happy that I have alot of my own free time now and that I don't have to wake up so early to report to work but I'm also pretty sad that I no longer get to talk to and teach my students and that I no longer have a thousand-seven hundred bucks going into my bank account every month. HAHA!

I'll definitely miss my 'colleagues' Sam, Jay Lloyd & Royston..I have more colleagues than that but we 4 are always doing stuff together :) Haha...So yup, it was a fun time of teaching, putting projects together, watching movies, playing games etc...HAHA..

AND, my NAPFA test is this coming wednesday, 19th August! I did put in effort to train, but I must admit that the effort I put in was minimal...Haha. I should pass all stations now, INCLUDING PULL UPS :D haha..but I fear my 2.4km timing man...O well, to the measure of my efforts shall God reward me then :)

And I learnt a little lesson about honesty today from my parents about accepting 'gifts that were taken' haha...I guess I have alot more to learn about integrity even in these super small grey areas of life...haha...

And, it's Meryl's birthday today :) So happy birthday Meryl! :)

G.I. Joe & my b'day wish list :D

Watched the movie G.I. Joe on monday! :) Intially Melvin, Jonathan Wee & Xiao Hua were our four man gang to catch the latest flick. But halfway, Melvin suddenly felt super unwell and he left. Hais..haha..

The movie was awesome :) Action, storyline, link, romance, etc...was all present to piece together to form a great film to catch :) I highly recommend it. :D Haha.

And my school friends were telling me about my birthday wish lists...Royston was asking "What if on your birthday chalet itself, everyone bought you 5 wallets or 3 wallets and 2 loafers?" HAHA. That makes a lot of sense. HAHA!

So, for those reading this post, do ask around so that we don't end up having replicas..HAHA! Or get something outside of my list which you think will really suit me :) Haha.

Like I said, my wish-list is just a guideline..haha...My other friends gave me pretty nice gifts outside of it too :) Haha..

Yup, enough rattle tattle..I'm back to work! :) HAHA!

2nd half of my birthday :)

My inbox was flooded with at least 30-40 birthday SMSes from close friends to friends to mere acquaintances. :) And so was my facebook wall. Haha!

AND, I made it a point to reply each and every SMS and wall post this time round ok? For those who didn't receive my SMS reply like Anthony, you needa change your handphone service provider. Try M1...I'm a M1 patron. HAHA!

Yup, after my morning to afternoon crazy celebration with my colleagues/friends, I headed down to church for an extended prayer meeting...... :) [fake smile..HAHA!!]

After that, I received 3 gifts! :) First was from Andrina, who came up to me with a muffin (which is most likely made by her...she's been baking alot) in the middle of the sharing session and said "Happy Birthday Jonavan! :)" Whoaw...I'm touched. Thanks Andrina! :D

Second was from Anna & Abigail :) They gave me this round, blue box with a golden ribbon on it :D Btw, they bought this gift for me like 6 months ago cos they felt that it really, really suited me. HAHA. Guess what was inside that blue box of mystery? A TIE! :) Haha. It's a really cool one that says "out & loud" AHAHA! What made it cooler is that there was a microphone at the bottom of tie reflecting my love for singing :D haha. Cool eh? :) Thanks Anna & Abigail! :)

And the third and the last gift on my actual day of my birthday was a gift from Daryl & Meryl :) Daryl simply slapped my back with the wrapped up gift and said "Happy Birthday :)" HAHA. Inside was a book by Philip Yancey "Disappointment with God" (whoo hoo! One of my favourite authors) and a nice green T-shirt with soldiers holding guitars as rifles. HAHA! They sure know how to combine my hobby and my near conscripted future. LOLS! And GREEN SHIRT :) They also know that my wardrobe has no green shirt in it! HAHA. Best friends we are after all eh? :) Thanks Daryl & Meryl dearies :)

And to wrap up my day was a paid trip by Anna & Abigail to McDonald's :) And Anna sent me home :) haha. Thanks Anna! :) Gosh, I feel so much less of a man when a girl your age can drive and you can't. HAHAHA! O well, I've been driving for 20 years now - driving people crazy. HAHAHA! Beat that! LOLS! Anyway, thanks Anna & Abi for nicely wrapping up my birthday :) haha.

OH, I'm not done yet, I went home and saw a BIG card on my laptop - A birthday card from my family! :)

Anyway, tomorrow I've got a super long day ahead: 9am-5pm in church! Whoaaaa...So yup, Happy Birthday to ME! :) HAHAHA.
